Our nature collection is made from domestic cherry, most of which is grown in the northeastern US. The color of the heartwood is affected by the tree’s terroir. Cherry grows best in areas with deep moist soil. The “reddest” or most sought after cherry comes from Pennsylvania and, lucky for us, much of Pennsylvania’s state forest is FSC®-certified. Since we’re an FSC®-certified chain of custody provider (FSC-C019049), you can rest assured that the cherry for our nature awards comes from well-managed forests.
