Being FSC-certified isn’t just a label — it’s a serious commitment. To hold an FSC chain-of-custody certificate, companies like Rivanna undergo rigorous independent audits every year. We track every purchase, every supplier, and every product that carries the FSC logo. It’s a time-intensive, detailed process — and we do it because we believe that honoring achievement should never come at the expense of forests or forest communities.

Unfortunately, not everyone follows these standards. Only FSC license holders can legally make claims about FSC-certified wood or use the FSC logo. If a supplier says their awards are made from FSC-certified or “sustainably harvested” wood, ask to see their certification. Without it, the claim may not be valid.
