Rivanna Named “Best for the World” by B Lab
Originally published in 2022. Updated in 2025 to reflect B Lab’s decision to sunset the Best for the World™ program and to celebrate Rivanna’s long-standing commitment to social and environmental excellence.
Since 2014, Rivanna Natural Designs has been named one of B Lab’s Best for the World™ companies every year the program was active. This recognition is awarded to Certified B Corporations that score in the top 5% of all B Corps worldwide in one or more impact areas: Governance, Workers, Community, Environment, and Customers.
We were proud to be honored across multiple categories over the years, including Overall, Workers, Environment, and Community:

To be named Best for the World is a meaningful distinction. As all Certified B Corps already meet rigorous standards for verified social and environmental performance, being recognized in the top 5% is a signal of deep and consistent impact.
What Happens Now?
In 2022, B Lab announced that it would sunset the Best for the World program, stating:
“As the movement has grown, we’ve made the difficult decision to sunset the Best for the World program to better reflect the full range of progress being made by B Corps across impact areas and geographies.”

Looking Ahead
While the awards may no longer be given, the work they honored continues. At Rivanna, we remain committed to using business as a force for good — for our workers, our community, and the planet. These recognitions reflect our past progress, but they also remind us of what’s still possible.
