Awards for All

Awards for All is an in-kind grant program that provides free awards to local nonprofits and public schools.

Grant Guidelines

Rivanna Natural Designs wants to help your nonprofit organization or public school celebrate your employees, volunteers, clients, and more. We are offering an in-kind grant to qualifying nonprofits and schools to bring our awards to your organization.

We’ll commit to an in-kind contribution for three years, with a monetary value of up to $5,000 annually.  We are specifically targeting local organizations.  To be eligible, your organization or school must be located in the Central Virginia or San Jose, CA, where we have offices.

Applications must be received at Rivanna at least six months prior to your award event.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking to help local organizations who, like us, are committed to positive social change and a healthy planet.  This is for organizations who:

  • Are nonprofits recognized under section 501(c)(3)

  • Public schools recognized under 170(c)(1)
  • Are socially and environmental conscious
  • Have limited funding
  • Positively impact the community
  • Are located in Central Virginia or in San Jose, California.

This is not for:

  • Political campaigns of any kind

We accept one proposal per organization each calendar year, with deadlines on a rolling basis. Our typical in-kind grant will fund awards over three award seasons (once per year), with a choice of selected design materials and types.

Frequently Asked Questions

Before reaching out to our Rivanna Grants team, please review our Frequently Asked Questions below.

After participating in this grant program for three awards seasons, are we able to reapply?

Yes, previous grant winners are welcome to reapply. Please reapply six months prior to your anticipated event.

After applying, how soon can I expect to hear if we are receiving the grant?

Please allow up to 8 weeks to receive a response regarding the status of your application.

What is an in-kind donation?

An in-kind donation is a type of charitable giving that offers goods and services instead of cash. For this program, we are donating our awards, as well as services required to produce the awards for you.

Are there any hidden fees?

No. You choose awards from our current catalog.  We provide the master artwork setup (including your logo if you provide one) and personalize your awards as you see fit. We send the award proofs to you for your approval prior to production.  When your awards are ready, we deliver or ship them to you via UPS Ground at our expense.

Please note that custom awards (creation of something outside of our standard catalog) and graphic design services (logo design/redesign, photo cleanup) are not included in the grant.

After we receive our awards, what do you need from us?

We ask that you send us a letter confirming receipt of the award donation.

What about social media?

As part of our company’s commitment to transparency, we will make public the names of all organizations who receive grants from us.

If you would like to acknowledge us via social media, we would of course be grateful, but this is not a requirement to receive a grant.  We do reserve the right to repost any photos of our products that we find in the public domain.

Our organization has moved locations since we applied for our grant, are we still eligible?

Unfortunately, we are only able to provide in-kind grants to organizations located in central Virginia or in San Jose, California. If you have moved outside of these areas, you are no longer eligible.

My organization’s grant was rejected. Can I speak with someone to learn more about why and how I can improve for next time?

Absolutely, please contact to schedule a time to speak with us.

How often is my organization eligible to apply for a grant? If rejected, when are we able to apply again?

We accept one proposal per organization for each calendar year. If rejected, you are eligible to apply again in the next calendar year.
