Designed for Good

Sustainable award designs that reflect your mission and values.

We believe good design does more than look beautiful—it makes things better. It uplifts. It endures. It reflects a deeper purpose.

At Rivanna, every award we design begins with intention. Whether the goal is to honor environmental leadership, celebrate years of service, or thank a dedicated volunteer, we approach each project with care, clarity, and respect for its meaning. Our designs are simple but expressive, shaped to elevate your message without excess or distraction.

We are proud to collaborate with changemakers, educators, advocates, and businesses committed to doing good in the world. Their missions inspire our work. And their trust reminds us that recognition, at its best, reinforces the values we share: equity, transparency, and sustainability.

Designing for good means thinking beyond aesthetics—it means making choices that matter, every step of the way.

Meaningful Recognition Products

Our plaques and awards are made with our planet and people in mind. No rose wood plaques or piano finish here. We design products with the smallest possible environmental footprint. Our hardwood awards are crafted in Virginia with material from certified, well-managed forests. 100% of the energy used for production is offset.

Awards with Purpose

In our award design, we emphasize the intrinsic beauty of our raw materials – the complexities of wood grains, the subtle imperfections of poured recycled glass, the sophistication of contemporary green building materials. In general, we opt for matte or satin finishes and uncomplicated fonts. We aim to make the achievement, not the trophy, shine.

“Simple, genuine goodness is the best capital to found the business of this life upon. It lasts when fame and money fail, and is the only riches we can take out of this world with us.”
